Do your prints truly express your artistic vision? Let one of the nation’s most respected digital printmakers provide some clarity.

Join R. Mac Holbert (co-founder of the world¹s first digital photography printmaking studio) in an intensive 8 hour printmaking experience. This workshop explores the latest developments in fine-art digital printmaking. By combining digital techniques with traditional aesthetics, participants learn how to properly optimize their images for high-quality inkjet output of all sizes. Topics include: fine-art workflow; color calibration and color management; advanced imaging techniques; output options; substrate choice and permanence issues.

Recommended: A basic knowledge of Photoshop and the RAW processor of choice (i.e. Adobe Camera RAW or Lightroom)

R. Mac Holbert, along with musician/photographer Graham Nash, in 1989 co-founded Nash Editions, widely regarded as the world’s first digital printmaking studio focusing solely on photography. In 2011, Mac co-founded The Image Collective, a company that helps cultural heritage institutions create revenue through the sale of extreme quality print-on-demand fine art prints. Mac has lectured extensively on digital output, digital imaging/scanning, and fine art. He is a partner in plug-in provider PixelGenius (makers of Photokit Sharpener II), as well as a beta tester for Epson America, X-rite, NEC, Adobe, and other software and hardware manufacturers.

In addition to being a sought-after instructor at institutions like the Maine Media Workshop, the International Center for Photography, Epson Print Academy, the Santa Fe Photographic Workshops, and Anderson Ranch Arts Center, Holbert has presented at many ASMP chapters across the country.
