COLOR MANAGEMENT AND PRINTING PAPERS – THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE UGLY.

This brief seminar will be broken into two parts. The first half will cover the basic essentials of color management which is a critical component of any serious photographer’s workflow, regardless of intended output. Topics include:
- Why it is important?
- Where do you start?
- How do you do it?
- Best tools?
The second half will be a discussion of inkjet printing papers, including “fine art exhibition” papers. Tony will cover a wide range of papers including the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. Topics include:
- Strengths and weaknesses of various papers?
Which should you choose and why?
- Which ink – Photo Black or Matte Black papers
- Which base – Which surface (Matte, Cotton, Luster, Satin, Semi-Gloss, Baryta, etc.)
- Paper problems
- Storage and handling
- Paper profiles
